The licence
One licence per talent, per project, with everything written down.
A Teila licence is the agreement that authorises the use of a professional talent's likeness in a specific AI production. It defines what is allowed, where and until when, and comes with the reference image pack and the documents the production needs.
What every licence includes.
The licence is modular: it is built around the project, and anything not included at the start, from wider terms to changes in the talent's appearance, can be requested and agreed.
- Project Licence
- The contract between the buyer and whoever grants the licence, setting out every term: the project, the uses, territories and duration, with clauses written for AI production.
- Certificate
- Verifiable proof of the licence, identified by a unique licence ID.
- Reference image pack
- The images used as reference in the generative phase, available once payment is confirmed and the licence is signed.

Each party, its own agreement.
Talent sign a Talent Agreement, agencies a Talent Agency Agreement, buyers the Platform Terms. Each licence is then a Project Licence between the buyer and whoever grants it; Teila is not a party to it. The whole chain of consent and documentation is in place before production begins.

With the EU AI Act, AI-generated content is moving towards clear rules on transparency and traceability: what was used, where it came from, on which terms. Each Teila delivery carries C2PA content credentials and an invisible watermark unique to that download, under the licence ID, so the origin of every reference file can be shown. Licence status can be checked by ID.

The licence covers
- The talent's likeness as it is, for one project, brand and scope
- The reference images, supplied for that project only and not to be published or shared
- The uses agreed, and not those the talent excluded

When a project needs more.
The terms can be widened, or the licence renewed, from the same project, with the agreement of the talent and their agency. There is no automatic renewal: the buyer is notified before the licence expires.
