Talent rights
Your likeness, licensed only on the terms you agreed.
On Teila, a production can license a talent's likeness to create images and video with AI, for one project, in the media, countries and period written in the licence. These are the commitments built into every licence.
Nothing is licensed without your consent, and what you exclude stays excluded, whatever the budget.
Six commitments in every licence.
- Informed consent
- Every licence rests on the talent's informed, written consent, given freely and for a defined scope.
- Transparency
- Talent and their agencies can see every licence: who, for what use, where and until when.
- Representation
- Talent choose the sectors and uses they are willing to be associated with, and briefs outside them do not reach them.
- Permitted use only
- Material is used only within the licence, with no transfer to third parties and no reuse on other projects. Any extension needs a new authorisation.
- Ownership and value
- Rights to the likeness remain with the talent, and every use is paid at the price set for that profile.
- Data protection
- Personal data is handled in line with the GDPR. Our database and files are hosted in the EU, with access limited to what each licence requires.
What a licence allows.
A licence allows a production to use the talent's reference images for one named project, generate images and video of the talent with AI for that project, and publish them in the media, countries and period licensed. It covers the talent's likeness as it is: changing their appearance, such as their age or distinctive features, is a separate request. Anything not included at the start must be requested, agreed with the talent and their agency, and priced accordingly.
When the licence ends.
No new use is allowed, including of the reference material. Every delivered file carries an invisible watermark and C2PA content credentials, giving the talent and their agency the evidence to act on any use outside the licence.
With an agency, or on your own.
If you have an agency, it sets up your profile, prices and approvals with you and handles the requests; you verify your identity once and give the consent that defines what can be licensed. If you work without one, you join as independent talent: you set your price, approve uses, sign and get paid directly. Either way, every licence has an ID, a scope and an expiry.
Questions from talent
Is my reference image pack a digital twin of me?
No. A digital twin is an AI model or avatar that can generate a person at will. Your pack is a set of photographs, licensed for one project.
Who sees my images?
Your profile is shown only to registered, verified buyers, and your reference image pack is delivered only to the production that licenses you, for that project.
Can I stop being licensed?
Yes, for the future: no new licences are granted. Licences already granted remain governed by their own terms.
I already have an agency. Can I join?
Yes, with your agency's consent: if it is not on Teila, you can join as independent talent with its permission.
